The Partido Popular have criticised Tias Ayuntamiento after Playa Grande lost its blue flag distinction, “a clear symptom of neglect.”.
PP councillor, Francisco Aparicio, stated that the loss of one of the four blue flag awards that Puerto del Carmen had is a “clear symptom of the neglect of the socialist government, who has been unable to undertake the works and improvements that have been required again and again”.
“The lack of commitment of the government group also in this matter that, like it or not, affects our image as a tourist destination.” “Let’s think that if we highlight the hoisting of blue flags as a symbol of quality on our beaches, the failure to have it also has a negative impact, as is the case,” Aparicio added.
“On this occasion, the deprivation of the blue badge confirms the negligence of the socialists when executing the necessary maintenance works as well as guaranteeing the provision of services on the beach,” concludes Aparicio.
