The Three Kings arrive on Lanzarote today, making the wishes of hundreds of children come true – especially if they like boiled sweets.
The weather forecast predicts a 45% chance of light rain for the afternoon, meaning that the Kings are odds on to have a dry parade.
Please note that the biggest parade on the island, in Arrecife, has changed its route this year. The parade will start at Puerto Naos in the east of the city, move around the Charco (passing the Marina) and end up in the Parque Islas Canarias. Many roads will be closed during the parade, and the nearest bus stop is Los Alonsos.
Tomorrow, 6th January, is a Bank Holiday, and although many larger shops and shopping centres will be open, many smaller businesses will be closed.
Tías
11 am. Puerto del Carmen. Arrival at the harbour, procession from C/Teide to C/los Afrechos.
6pm. Tías. Procession from the C/Perez Galdos roundabout to the football pitch.
Teguise
7.30 pm. Teguise Old Town. The procession will take place in the historical centre.
The Kings will pass through Costa Teguise at 12.40 pm.
Yaiza
10 am. Kings arrive at Puerto Calero, from where they will visit Playa Quemada, La Geria, Uga, Las Casitas, Femés, Maciot, Las Breñas, La Hoya, La Degollada, Yaiza (5pm), El Golfo and Playa Blanca.
7 pm. Playa Blanca. From Jaime Quesada roundabout to Plaza de N. Señora de Carmen.
Arrecife
6pm: The biggest Kings Parade on the island will take place from the Puerto Naos to the Parque Islas Canarias.
San Bartolomé
5pm. Playa Honda. From the esplanade at Guacimeta beach to C/Princesa Ico.
7.30pm: San Bartolomé. From IES San Bartolome, going along Avenida Alcalde Cabrera Barrera, Calle Calderetas and Calle Parroco San Martin ending at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
Haría
4pm. The Kings arrive at Arrieta pier and will make their way around northern towns and villages.
6.30pm. Haría. Throughout the streets of Haria.
Tinajo
5.30 pm: Football pitch to Plaza de San Roque.
7 pm. La Graciosa.
