Emergency services were called to two accidents at Playa Papagayo and Playa Mujeres in Playa Blanca this week.
The first accident was reported at approximately 4:30pm this Monday. The emergency services received a call about a 57-year-old woman who had suffered an ankle injury after being hit by a strong wave. The woman was taken to the Dr José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife.
The second accident was reported at approximately 5pm on Monday. The emergency services received a call about a 70-year-old woman who had fallen and had possibly suffered from a hip injury as a result. After ambulance staff stabilised the woman, she was taken to the Dr José Molina Orosa Hospital.
