It appears that the island will finally get some relief from the relentless heat, as AEMET predict showers to come this weekend and the week after.
According to weather forecast models, the Canary Islands can expect the greatest chance of rain this Sunday (September 18th).
At the time of writing, AEMET forecast that we will see an 80% chance of rain this afternoon, a 95% chance Saturday afternoon, 100% chance on Sunday and an 80% chance of rain next Monday.
Temperatures will remain relatively high, however, with an average of 28 degrees Celsius.
I think we speak for every resident when we say that we’re looking forward to a break from the heat, even if it is temporary.
